A group known as Friends of Balaka District, on 2, November, 2022 donated assorted items to a standard seven 14 year old boy with albinism, Misheck James of Traditional Authority Nsamala, Ntonya village.

Group representative Pamzy Mdala, said the items are five bags of maize, cooking oil,sugar,bag of soya pieces, notebooks, duvet clothes, soap among others worthy MK400,000.
Mdala further said they were tipped by James's teacher at Balaka primary school that he struggles to access daily basic needs that see him depressed in class leading to poor performance, which prompted them to intervene on the situation.

"We were concerned to hear that a boy goes to school without eating, without hope that upon coming back he will find any food to eat and also without school needs. we have since donated these items to help shaping up his future" Mdala said.
On his part Misheck James commended the group for assistance saying it has come at a right time and it will help him to succeed in his studies.

Friends of Balaka District is a grouping which it's aim is to helping vulnerable people and take part in development activities happing in the district.
