Leader of opposition in parliament Dr Kondwani Nankhumwa has appealed to the president to pardon Mussa John and Commissioner Linda Kunje.
According to a letter dated 27th September 2022,the leader of opposition in parliament is requesting the president to pardon Mussa John and Mec commissioner Linda Kunje on their offenses.
The letter is also requesting the president to equalize the perceived injustice because other people with the same offense like Mussa John or worse walked out with a fine.

Recently different human rights activists have spoken on John Mussa sentence including influential muscians in the country.
