A South Africa based Malawian Patrick Mtawali has donated to Balaka Community radio a computer that has windows 10 already installed 8 GB RAM,1TB hard drive space, i7 processor with monitor 21cm, wireless mouse and 3 voice recorders.
Mtawali said he was inspired with the establishment of the radio in the district.
"I understand the radio will not only give entertainment but to educate and let the community know what is happening in other places around the globe. Business development will also be easier for the community to sell and advertise on this radio," he added.
Mr Patrick MtawaliCommenting on behalf of the Radio, Operations and Communications Officer Francis Biliati hailed Mtawali for the donation saying it has boosted the preparations of starting testing the signal of the radio which is expected in few months time.
Mtawali who is dealing with telecommucations companies in South Africa has pledged for more support to the radio.
Mtawali is originally from M'buliwa Village in the area of Traditional Authority Malemia Domasi, in Zomba District.
