Tilitonse Foundation has expressed satisfaction on the progress of urban governance project that is aimed at improving different development projects taking place in district councils.
Foundation's Board Chairperson Desmond Kaunda made the sentiments Wednesday in Lilongwe at an interface meeting with representatives from Mzuzu, Mangochi, Zomba, Blantyre and Lilongwe district councils where the project is being implemented.

Kaunda is of the view that such engagements help authorities to critically look into issues that are affecting urban development in their respective councils.
While applauding the progress of the project, Kaunda has called for collaborative efforts in making sure that councils are being held accountable.
On his part Secretary for local government Charles Maganga appreciated tilitonse foundation for the project saying it is helping in fostering urban development in the councils
The project was launched in 2020 with the aim of promoting engagement meetings between citizens and duty bearers. The project is being funded by European Union and Royal Nowergian Embassy
